Easy 5-Ingredient Chili (Quick, Hearty & Weeknight-Friendly)

- 450 g ground beef or sausage
- 1 medium white or yellow onion chopped (about 150 g)
- 2 garlic cloves minced (about 6 g)
- 425 g canned diced tomatoes
- 850 g canned chili with beans
- Shredded cheddar cheese for topping (optional)
Add onion and garlic
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan. Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring often, until the vegetables are soft and fragrant.
If the pan seems too dry, add 1–2 tablespoons olive oil while the vegetables cook.
Simmer
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and well combined.
