5 Ingredient Amaretto Truffles (Rich, Decadent & No-Bake)

If you’re looking for an elegant no-bake dessert that feels luxurious but is surprisingly easy to make, these 5 Ingredient Amaretto Truffles are exactly what you need. Deep, rich dark chocolate, a hint of almond, and the warmth of amaretto come together in bite-sized truffles that taste like they came straight from a gourmet chocolate shop.

Ingredients

  • 280 g dark chocolate finely chopped
  • 160 ml heavy whipping cream
  • or full-fat coconut cream for dairy-free
  • 45 ml amaretto liqueur
  • 2.5 g almond extract ½ teaspoon
  • 40 g cocoa powder for rolling

Instructions

Melt the chocolate

  • Place the finely chopped dark chocolate into a medium heatproof bowl and set aside.

Heat the cream

  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream (or coconut cream) over medium heat, stirring frequently. Bring it just to a gentle simmer (do not boil).

Make the ganache

  • Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 1–2 minutes, then stir slowly until the mixture becomes smooth and glossy.
  • Add the amaretto and almond extract, and stir until fully combined.

Chill

  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for about 4 hours, or until the ganache is firm enough to scoop.

Shape the truffles

  • Using a small cookie scoop or spoon, portion the chilled ganache into 2.5 cm (1-inch) balls.
  • These can be slightly sticky — lightly dust your hands with cocoa powder or spray them with a tiny bit of oil to make rolling easier.

Coat

  • Roll each truffle in cocoa powder until evenly coated.
  • You can also roll them in:
  • chopped nuts
  • chocolate sprinkles
  • shredded coconut
